PHCSI in Action: Dedicated Caregivers

Friday, March 27th, 2009

This issue honors two of the most dedicated caregivers of PHCSI whose commitment and work ethics are worthy of emulation.Grace Abordo applied with PHCSI  in March of 2007  and  was  given  an  assignment  after  a couple of months after having been screened thoroughly  by  the  company  under its  hiring criteria.  Grace  was  regarded  highly  in  her previous assignments and co-worker based on the positive feedbacks garnered. Her personal
life did not interfere with her work even if at times  she was beset with  family obligations.   She was always ready to accept an assignment and went beyond  the call of duty  to do her  job.

Cathy Lin is also one of the most dependable caregivers of PHCSI and is always willing to do her  job even on an emergency situation. She could be called upon “anytime of  the day or night  if  PHCSI  needs  her  to  go  to  an
assignment and was always  there on  time”.

Professional Health Care Services,  Inc. in the  last  quarter  participated  in  various activities in its desire to chronicle the kind of professional care that it offers to its clients an example of which is a Health Fair in the
City  of  Placentia  where  other  health services providers also  took part. (more…)

PHCSI: Focused on Quality Care

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

sandiego-caregiverSince the dawn of modern medicine, the health care industry has provided new means of prolonging and improving the quality of life of the elderly and those with special needs. As these technologies continue to extend the lives of many, new health services have risen to the challenge of providing quality assistance to those in need.

Professional Health Care Service, Inc. has established itself as a care-giving company dedicated to offering quality care to the sick and elderly. Through their services, many of those in need are provided with quality and efficient professional caregivers for home, hospital and hospice settings.

“I was working as a caregiver when I realized that there are so many people in need of this service , ” said Penny Byram, president of PHCSI. “Many of these services and agencies I have worked before have asked for me because of the service I provide them.”

Started in 1994, PHCSI was a way to provide superior caregivers who were trained to demonstrate care and compassion towards their clientele.

“Care-giving is for everybody. Everybody will need care eventually – the rich, the poor and even the President,” As the company continued to grow, great effort has been taken to maintain the same level of quality that allowed the business to flourish during the early stages. Because care and compassion are the foundations of the services provided, the growth of the company has not diluted the quality of care that PHCSI’s clientele receives.

Despite starting in humble conditions, PHCSI has prospered in the years that followed which eventually blossomed into seven companies that included health registries, consulting services and real estate.

Penny Byram envisions the company doubling within the next 10 years while “maintaining compassion and quality care as the focus of the company”.

“The key to quality service is matching the skills of the caregivers with the needs of the clients. Being in the care-giving business needs more than business acumen. It needs the human ingredient of compassion to be able to provide quality care. Care has to come from the heart,” Penny concluded.
