PHCSI Grand Opening signals a renewed commitment

The PHCSI strengthened its commitment to professional health care with the inauguration of its new offices in Garden Grove on November 16, Wednesday. The new office allows PHCSI staff to better serve the growing special needs and requirement of the senior citizens.

An appreciation from the Orange County Board of Supervisor, Janet Nguyen and California State Assemblyman, Allan Mansoor were made during the Grand Opening event in acknowledgement of Penny Byram’s 16 years of dedication of providing services to the senior community.

PHCSI Founder and President, Penny Byram, highlighted the humble beginnings of the company whose fulfillment of a mission has been made possible because of a complement of dedicated staff and caregivers who consider their careers an opportunity to express their humanitarian sides.

As a former caregiver herself, Penny understood the significant role of care giving in which to provide special needs and care to the elderly citizens. Penny and her professional staff place a great importance to the traditional role of care giving for the elderly with the purpose of providing relief or respite for the families of their clients.

July 8, 2011 - Basic CPR and First Aid Training

PHCSI Complete Basic CPR and First Aid Training

In line with its no-nonsense approach to provide the necessary skills and training to its caregivers and members of its staff, the Professional Health Care Services, Inc. had the 26 of them undergo the basic CPR and First aid training with no less than a certified instructor from the American Heart Association handling the procedures.
Jack Grisworld had the full four hours to train the participants to gain competence and assurance of being able to deliver even the basic CPR and first aid when the need arises.
The four-hour basic CPR and First aid although, a mandatory requirement in compliance with healthcare industry guidelines, has been considered necessary has part of PHCSI’s emphasis on providing the appropriate training for its caregivers as they strive to render quality care to their clients.
The participants who completed the Basic CPR and First Aid course were issued certifications valid for two years. They also received company T-shirts courtesy of its founder and President, Penny Byram, who for more than 10 years had steered the company skillfully to meet the challenges in the health care industry.
The training was held last June 7 at the PHSCI new office at 14361 Euclid St. Unit 3D, Garden Grove, Ca. 92843.

July 1, 2011 - PHCSI 11th Annual Summer Picnic Potluck

At the Mile Square Regional Park: Summertime, Fun time, Picnic time for PHCSI

“Its summer time and the living is easy, fish are jumpin’ and the cotton is high” so go the lyrics of "Summertime" by Dubose Heyward for George Gershwin aria in the 1935 opera “Porgy and Bess”.

There’s no cotton in the urban Mile Square Regional Park in the City of Fountain Valley like in the succeeding verses of the popular song, only 607 acres of prime real estate developed for three regulation golf courses, three soccer fields, three baseball fields, three softball diamond fields, an archery range and a nature area.

The park is so big "for living it easy" because of its amenities: It is able to accommodate two fishing lakes, a concession area of bike and paddle boat rentals, a wide expanse of picnic areas and picnic shelters “to serve a variety of visitors ranging from individuals to families and group organizations and annual company picnics.”

The Professional Healthcare Services, Inc. (PHCSI) occupied one of those picnic shelters last June 25 for its annual company picnic for its staff, friends, and client for a few hours of fun, camaraderie and of course, food galore. It was "living it easy" that provided a day’s break from the regular work routine and one that the participants enjoyed in setting conducise to physical and emotional rejuvenation or simply recharging.

PHCSI Founder and President , Orange County civic leader and entrepreneur, Penny Byram has for over ten years gone miles to fill-up the widening need in the County for a caregiving entity that “provides qualified nurses, aides, companions, and hospital sitters”. Her company’s focus hasn’t changed since she embarked on a business that requires not only a good business sense and more importantly, a “big heart” to understand and compassionately attend to the needs of her clients. PHCSI has been faithful in its task of “providing quality health care, in-home care, referral and placement services”.
